Whitemoor Estate Monster Quest

For the lucky angler, member or guest who catches a Brown Trout over 14lbs in weight (certain new record), I will provide either full membership or a plaster cast of the fish, hand painted and mounted on wood.

The Brown Trout will be properly mounted in a glass case for permanent display in the fishing hut, angler’s name, details of capture and original fly will be attached.

If you are the lucky fisherman and there is no one at the house and Malcolm is not available, save the fly, accurately weigh the fish, place on a flat board and deep freeze that day for my later collection.

Monster Quest Past Records

1998 - The first double figure Brown Trout at 10lb 2oz was landed off the boat house by Jack Southworth at 8am on Sunday 5th April.

2002 - The second Monster Quest was achieved by Gary Birtwell with a Brown Trout of 11lb 2oz, caught from the lodge bank on Friday 19th April.

2004 - The third Monster Quest was achieved by Tom Barnett with a Brown Trout of 13lb 12oz, caught from a boat between the house and the lodge on Saturday 11th December.

2012 - The fourth Monster Quest Brown Trout was 13lb 5oz, and was caught by Paul Wheeler in front of the boathouse on Monday 2nd April.

2012 - The fifth Monster Quest Brown Trout of 12lb 10oz was landed from the overflow by Nathan Foster, on Sunday 15th April.
